I tend to skip long posts. So it does not bother me in a sence that it is a waste of my time.
Is it possible that someone (moderator or one of the regular/now and than contributers) steps in quickly and friendly, if a thread tends to blow up, with the clear suggestion to continue on the [discuss] or [discuss-special :-)]
I do contribute to the list. Sometimes once a week, sometimes four times a day ...
By sitting in the fence, I cannot change people's behaviour nor word choise. (Though I might like to - I fully understand your mail!)
Neither can I do so by contributing ... however, that does help people interested in OOo. Anyway it should do - depending on the quality of my answers and suggestions ;-)
