Assuming you are using windows SQLyog is what I usually use, its quite a good GUI and can import from other datasources such as access etc. http://www.webyog.com/sqlyog/index2.php
On linux you could try DBDesigner4 its GPL rather than a lite version as above, and is therefore a better fit with OpenOffice.org http://www.fabforce.net/dbdesigner4/downloads.php As far as the tools on the Mysql site go MySQL Administrator is a comprehensive program for monitoring and tweaking settings I'd get that. Its most useful for setting up an automatic nightly backup of all your databases. -----Original Message----- From: Peter Kupfer [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, 13 April 2005 8:07 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [discuss] MySQL... Does anyone know of a good way to edit a MySQL database on my computer. I don't really care for the HTML interface with my web host. There are some files on the MySQL site called: # MySQL Migration Toolkit # MySQL Administrator # MySQL Query Browser # MySQL Control Center Does anyone know what these are. I had a hard time following the instructions on mysql.com.
