Shift + End marks from the cursor to the end of the line and then Backspace deletes it. You have to be at the beginning of the line for this to work.

I usually just select the text using any normal method i.e.; click and drag mouse or hold shift key and move cursor with arrow keys, and press the delete key.

I do not know of a single key or combination of keys that will delete the current line.
