And on OSX (sorry, with NeoOffice/J) you go to system preferences/international and change the language, restart NO/J and you have the GUI in that languages (help files must be installed separately).

How? We were talking about OOo 1.1.x and there I said that the

">Start >Program >OpenOffice.Org >Change Language"

And that brings up "Open Office Language >Select Language"  and a
choice of languages.
Highlight the appropriate language.
Click on the "Apply Changes" button.
Start Openoffice.
