it seems that no feature is gone, just that when you do 'save as' only
current version is saved, and this behaviour is the same in 1.* and 2.0
originally this mith be good so that you work on a file with different
versions but send out only the last one - so that confidential or
embarassing information doesn't leak.
of course, now that we have migration at hand, this surfaces as quite
ugly problem.

Well and good so far, but the response to the issue was surprising in

document changes, and whether they share my dismay at its disappearance
in OO.o 2.0?
