As an aside, if you're looking for a full open source experience, how
would you like to contribute to OpenOffice.org? You don't have to be a
programmer or anything. I'm working with the Authors project, we're
making a user guide for OOo 2.0, which will be comming out soon-ish.
Maybe you'd like to join us? Our group is friendly and productive. It's
a great place to get started with OOo. Your job would be simple. Read a
few chapters that sound interesting and tell us if they make sense. If
something isn't clear, or could be improve, you point us to it and we
fix it.
Daniel,
I've got 18 months' experienece with OOo (writer) and have often
wondered how I could contribute. Since I am no programmer (far from it)
your suggestion above sounds ideal!
Count me in if you need more people.
Regards
Ingo
Invite new people to use it, create banners and graphics, donate money,
participate on the mailing lists and forums, get an INGOT certificate and
certify others, translate documents into a foreign language.
Promote OpenOffice.org in your business/workplace. etc.
