This morning I found out that I have to add about 100 equations to one
of the reports I had recently done (they were in a separate doc), but
the thing is already massive and takes a *very* long time to save,
etc., on a fast machine (2.5 GHz, > 10 GB available swap, fast scsi
drives) using 1.9.118. (I won't even bother to try under so7/oo1.1.x).
I have gone through the docs I have and have tried going through the
draft user guide but haven't found anything on this one.
In adding to this doc (350 or so pages, lots of tables, scatter plots
(ole objects), footnotes, etc. - over 9Mb for the ".odt" file to begin
with), including the equations I am afraid that I'm fighting a losing
battle, and it would seem simpler to break this down into chapters to
form a book (as in the old applix book-building process). That way I
could still do my TOC, index, lists of tables, equations, and figures,
etc. "fairly" easily.
Is there any equivalent in OOo? Any pointers, docs, etc. would be
greatly appreciated.
Thanks
