too much. I read Alexandro's comments as being very supportive and
encouraging.
What he seemed to be saying -- correct me if I'm wrong, Alexandro -- is
that the pieces already exist to some degree and that it wouldn't take a
lot of effort to integrate them into an Add-on that would do very much
what you seek.

Yes Rod, AFAIK the OpenOffice.org scripting framework lets you attach
applications already created to OpenOffice.org using a special
instalations. The actual binding is done remotely. All of this information
is in OOoForum. Read DannyB's post (quite technical) about how to use
PyUNO as a service.

Most of the barrier has to do on the lack of understandment of UNO, if
more people instead of ranting will make an effort to understand UNO. More
people will be keen to develop their own suggestions. It is a bit hard,
but not hard enough that requires an MBA in Computer science.
