This is a very good reason why OOo30 should be focussed on making the
code more efficient. There is a massive potential market in low cost
devices waiting to be tapped. Microsoft have traditionally taken the
view that you just upgrade the hardware and hang the expense - they sell
another OS too on that strategy. Either that or you have a crippled
subset of the facilites on a palmtop. If OOo could run well on 64 meg
devices costing under $100 that would be a disruptive technology
enfranchising a stack of users who currently can't afford to buy into a
total technology solution costing >$500.
