Quite a few of us, even though we have internet satellite connections,
do not stay connected all the time. In my opinion, that is a
disaster waiting to happen because of hackers, viruses, etc.
MS is the only OS that have virus. think about it? Not even your cellphone
running Symbian OS has vriuses. Speaking about your cellphone, you are
almost all the time connected to a GPRS network. If that network has
access to the internt in theor you are always connected to the internet.
This is what we are seen when technologies like WiMax are massively
deployed. Virus are the least threats in an online world, usually identity
deft are much more serious than just getting your local system cracked.
If you really wanna give a web-office for a test you can sign up for
services like No-Machine and expirience how functional (or not) is it.
Take it as a 1 month experiment and get a PDA with wi-fi and see if it
really is what you think it is.
