AFAIK, DEC never made a mainframe. They only produced minis. *sigh* I
was *so* tempted when Temple U retired its PDP 11/70 to offer to take
it... even though the 286 I bought a couple years later was more
powerful....

Isn't it about time, in the midst of a "jobless recovery", to redefine
"recession"? Perhaps, instead of "two or more quarters of falling GNP",
it should be "two or more quarters of falling median income"...and a
depression is four or more quarters. This puts us several years into the
