Interesting. You can buy Office 2004 for Mac OSX from Microsoft, but if
you want just a viewer, you have to use 3rd party tools.

I iMacs I have seen which have been purchased during the last year or
so, did not come with AppleWorks. AppleWorks itself is no longer being
developed, and is horribly out of date (not to mention that it can't
handle MS documents in many languages that the Windows version of MS
Office can handle- even MS Office for Mac does not support some language
that MS Office for Windows does, making file exchange between platforms
problematic if you happen to need those languages).
