--Achievements--
OpenOffice.org continues to win awards. Anthony forwarded the news that
OpenOffice.org has won the PC Magazine Best of 2005 Award [1] and that
there is a review in the 27 December 2005 print issue.

Just this week, OpenOffice.org 2.0.1 was released [2] and is an
important milestone especially for some localisation teams [3], for
example, Macedonian is now included as an official language.

--Immediate Goals--
OpenOffice.org Conference 2006 (OOoCon 2006)
We don't know where and we don't know when. Erwin has drafted a proposal
so that teams can bid to host the conference. See the archives [4] to
catch up on the discussion.

If you would like to participate in organising the conference, please
subscribe to [EMAIL PROTECTED] There is always
something you can do to help even if you do not anticipate leaving the
comfort of your own keyboard :)

--Long-Term Goals--
OpenOffice.org is an open-source project. That is, we depend upon the
contributions of developers and endusers to make it happen. This
resource is the most important item when considering the roadmap.

Contributors are always welcome, read
http://www.openoffice.org/about_us/introduction.html and
http://www.openoffice.org/contributing.html to see how you can
participate further.

Thank you for your participation and support throughout 2005. Wishing
you and your families a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Jacqueline McNally
Lead, OpenOffice.org Marketing Project
