IIRC, Google has a couple of people who are doing coding for OOo.
They are working on an integrated Office Suite as a web application, with ODF as the file format.

I'm not sure what you mean here, but ODF is on track to be an ISO standard. It is a European standard.

Actually it already is an ISO standard. AFAIK
