I am a translator, often working with every long documents.
A ¨go to page¨ function, such as exists in kPDF or xPDF for instance,
would be VERY useful.
Also, and I´ve never seen this in any other software, so I´m not sure
how feasible it is (especially,
as I am not a developer), the ability to select specific pages only
(like instead of select all, select pages 33 to 102).
I mention this because sometimes I have to cut and paste very large
sections of text from document to another,
and, as it currrently functions, I generally have to do it in pieces.
It´s very time consuming.
Of course, likely it wouldn´t be so bad if I were using something faster
than my PIII 1ghz and only
512mb ram.
This way I could choose ¨ select pages 33 to 102¨>copy, move to the
other document and paste where needed.
I suspect this one is a larger order than the first, seeing as how I
already know a precedent for the first function I am requesting already
exists.
Then again, I know that when printing, I can choose to only print page X
to page Z, so, maybe it´s
not as complicated as I think.
I appreciate any efforts to accomodate these suggestions, or otherwise address
them. Openoffice.org ROCKS!
Thanks,
Anthony Baldwin
