I am a translator, often working with every long documents.
A ¨go to page¨ function, such as exists in kPDF or xPDF for instance,
would be VERY useful.
There is in The Navigator - to be launched by F5.
In the middle of the top-row, there is a spin-box. If you type 7 .. the
cursor is on top of page 7 ...
Also, and I´ve never seen this in any other software, so I´m not sure
how feasible it is (especially,
as I am not a developer), the ability to select specific pages only
(like instead of select all, select pages 33 to 102).
I mention this because sometimes I have to cut and paste very large
sections of text from document to another,

Maybe The Navigator can help here as well.
Open your document where to copy from;
Open a new document;
Launch The Navigator;
In the drop-down box at the bottom: select the first document;
Right-click on one of the headers ... you can select a drag-modus ...
So in effect, you can copy, (hot-)link complete sections with a
mouse-move :-)
I appreciate any efforts to accomodate these suggestions, or otherwise
address them. Openoffice.org ROCKS!
All credits to the project :-)
