Of course ideas for improvements are welcome. But if you also want to
make sure that they are implemented you should also find someone willing
to do the work. You can't expect that the current OOo developers
implement each and every idea for improvement though sometimes even this
has happened. If you or people you know have ideas for improvement and
developers interested to work on them you can contact me or one of the
other project leads for a possible cooperation. I don't know what
exactly the software distributor you mentioned has done, but just
throwing some ideas into a mailing list or the bug tracker will not be
sufficient. He should have talked to the people being in charge of
development if he wanted to get something done. Do you know with whom he
has talked?
