Not sure if this consequence is obvious to everybody, but an ODF Toolkit as outlined in this proposal would allow for developing interesting server based solutions offering ODF functionality. Hosting the OOo framework an a remote server and accessing it by simple clients for viewing or editing purposes can bring ODF to many desktops quite easily, especially if it wouldn't require more than a browser. Several web based office solutions are already online, but they are either based on proprietary implementations or lack most of the functionality offered by OOo.
Hence, +1 from me for setting up this promising project! Stephan --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
