The "fool" paying for 602Office which is really based on OpenOfifce.org and says so in every docs will get printed manual, CDs, installation support via phone. All materials from this product are available for download as well (http://www.602.cz/cz/produkty/ 602office_2_1/dokumentace). I do not know if 602 is selling 602Office in other countries though. But you linked to 602PC Suite which is not 602Office thus not based on OpenOffice.org and as such is irrelevant here. Do you want to publicly appologise for your mistake? -- Pavel Janík
Pavel I stumbled somehow on this 602PC Suite and thought the price they charge quite offensive. Secondly, I Googled and found this short mention in the Wikipedia:
*602PC Suite* is an office suite by Software602<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Software602&action=edit>company. It contains text processor <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/602PC_Suite_Text>and spreadsheet compatible with Microsoft Office <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Office> and digital photo editor and organiser. It allows direct export to PDF<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PDF> . It is shareware <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shareware>, but exists in functionally limited free version. On the present, the suite development and retailing has been ceased and replaced by new 602Office<http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=602Office&action=edit>suite which is based on the OpenOffice.org <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenOffice.org> project.
The only external link Wikipedia gives, is to the same 602PC Suite...
From your answer I deduce that you have something to do with 602Office.
If you feel offended, I'm ready to present you my apology. I don't know what the number 602 means (besides being the area code for Arizona), nor why 602PC Suite and 602Office share the same logo... One is based in Florida, USA, the other in Slovakia (or the Czech Republic)?? All very confusing. The only point I wanted to make is that everybody is free to charge or pay for Open Source what they like (as long as they abide by the licence). And that there are some greedy folks out there that want to make $$$ on the back of the Open Source developers. -- Guy using dutch OOo 2.1 RC 2 on a iMac Intel DualCore Tiger and dutch OOo 2.1 RC 1 on a G4 PPC Powerbook Tiger -- please reply only to [email protected] -- Dodoes can't afford to have headaches
