Hey, great development team of OpenOffice.org!

I'm using openoffice and like it :). Openoffice is a damn good alternative for microsoft office (which I can't use anyway, since I use linux). But some friends do use /\/\$ office. Therefor, when i want to send them a document, i'll convert it to .doc for them as well. But this means that i'll have to go to deep menus and save every document twice. It's not a lot of work, but I think it would be a very nice feature to be able to configure openoffice in any way to save documents twice. Or.... set it in the document's metadata. Either case, i'd like a feature which will make me save every file in two locations (in this case in .odt and .doc).

Thank you for your patience,
Auke Booij ("tulcod").

i guess when you enable backups you get the file saved twice. Go to Tools
options > General > View > Paths > Backups at usually
$HOME/.openoffice.org2/user/backup go and check it to verify that is enable and is working.

So in theory if u save by default in docs, your backups will be in ODT. I havent done it but I can only imagine it will work like that. Now, do every document you have, is for your friends?
