Feature request: True smooth-scrolling in Writer.
Right now Writer "jumps" when it hits a page break in Print Layout view.
This makes it harder to edit long documents.
MSFT Word allows users to smoothly scroll continuously while in Print or
Normal modes. In Normal mode, this is the standard behavior. In Print
view mode, the user merely double-clicks the page divider to close the
gap, and the pages will scroll smoothly.
I'm working on a 50+- page business plan for a VC firm, and I can tell
you, the page jumping is jarring and diorienting. It also makes it hard
to position the cursor at the exact paragraph you need to hit, because
the page jumps when you near the bottom of the page.
It's the only feature of OOo hat really drives me nuts! :-)
