First of all I would like to thank you for building and offering OpenOffice. I have been using Staroffice ever since Windows 3.1 times and it's a great office suite. Keep going ! Here is a suggestion for you to consider. It's a very good idea to include the update checker within OpenOffice but at the same time it is rather annoying (in spite of the excitement about a new release) to have to download the entire application again. I have been using Staroffice 7 and 8 (it is offered by my university for free) and I think the update packages offered by Sun are a good idea. I am wondering whether it would be possible for you either to offer such packages for OO as well or just to make the update checker download just the new parts of OO and upgrade the existing installation. This would be far more comfortable and since Sun is doing kind of the same it should be technically possible. Another point to complain about is the quality of the spell checker...it's rather mediocre compared to MS Word's. But this is a minor point as I am reading my documents carefully before printing anyway. Other than that everything's just great. Regards Simon Kotula -- No virus found in this outgoing message.
