Greets.

I'd like to submit a suggestion for a true "Two pages per sheet"
option for the Page Properties window, akin to the option available in
MS Word 97 (and up, likely). This is not a submission for "Page
Preview: Two Pages", which does NOT print two pages per sheet. This
would actually print two pages to one sheet without having to use
columns, while preserving footers for each page (instead of putting
one footer across both columns).

When I write, I like to have a narrow column page that is a little
closer to paperback book size. It's easier for me to see what's on the
page, especially at larger resolutions, and it's easier for me to read
when printed. I use a smaller font to save on paper and ink; two
columns printed out is thus much easier for me to read, both printed
and displayed on screen. It becomes a hassle to have to switch
formatting around when a "two pages per sheet" option is not
available.

The Help file in OpenOffice does direct in how you can supposedly
print two pages per sheet, but when I tried to perform these options,
they only displayed two pages in a print preview mode. I did not get
what I wanted in terms of formatting the page itself.

I hope I was clear enough in what I wanted. If not, let me know, and
I'll try and explain better. :) If you have a copy of MS Word
floating around somewhere, you can get an idea on what I'm looking to
do by setting the following print options: Orientation at Landscape,
Print Two Pages per Sheet, and then adjust margins for aesthetic
result.
