I don't understand very well this. Copy by hand or automatically with a
macro?
I know that if I Insert > Picture > From file, and then copy/paste that
picture several times in the same document, the document file only
contains one copy of the image data. All the other instances in the
document simply "link" back to the same data.
The same thing happens if I do Insert > Picture > From file a second
time, but choose the same file. So OOo is pretty smart about this, but I
never tried it with a macro.
