Are you aware that Ctrl-Shift-V gives a list of options?
I frequently use Ctrl-Shift-V -U to paste unformatted text, eg from a
website.
Generally speaking I find using a keyboard shortcut more efficient than
the mouse in many situations.
Just a small thought which may help.
