To a similar note, I had problems opening StarOffice documents (from the years 2000-2001) in OO.o 2.2 on Ubuntu (the error was something to the effect of: "sorry cannot open this file, try to choose from these extensions"). I was told (in private) that the "Debian/Ubuntu" packaged version has less input filters than the default OO.o version. Is that correct ?
