Will OO work on .mdb files?

OK - it will. I downloaded OO 2.3.1 and opened up OpenOffice.org Base
This presents a Database Wizard screen where I can create a new or open
an existing database. I choose to 'open existing'. Click on "open"
find .mdb file and click on it. Then click 'open' in that window.

OpenOffice.org Base program immediately disappears. No error
indication, no warning, no nothing. No longer shows in Task manager.
That's a bug. Could you please submit an issue for this. Thanks.

Where did I go wrong?
You have to connecto to an existing database. There select MS Access (first entry in the list box), on the next page select your mdb file. That's it.

Best regards,

Ocke
