An alternative idea is to use the spellchecker as it is and instead of
having it enter the correct spelling, type it oneself. I do that and
it works... :)

Ha ha... I'd love that... for everyone else... I can only speak for
myself,
but I think I know the spelling of most of the words I write,
especially in
my own language, Swedish. Still I do a lot of spelling errors, but
these are
in most cases just a result of things like hitting the wrong key and
things
like that. It would be very frustrating to spell a word maybe ten
times just
because my fingers slipped... but if the feature is possible to turn
off,
why not?
