Interesting post :) Hard to say whether you're serious of not, but I'll assume that you are ...

As an example, look at the number of scientists speaking about about the US Governments' attacks on scientific research funding and the substitution of pseudo-science and non-science for real facts. Look at the money being spent on military research and wars, while at the same time the US Government pulls out of ITER ( thermonuclear research ), the ISS, etc, etc. To be sure, there are problems in the scientific community, but they pale in comparison to other problems. > If realized, the CRS would attract huge donations from sponsors, > international organizations and private persons. And how exactly would that be different to all the other researchers who are dependant on corporate sponsors? There's a fundamental contradiction with doing independent research and accepting 'huge donations', as you put it. > So what is left for me now is to try and create on my own a website > with my research That's the best idea. You'll only reach a small number of people at first, but if your research is recognised as being important by those who visit, then you could soon find quite a large audience. > So the situation is quite absurd. As noted above, 'support' from 'powerful' organisations is a double-edged sword. While you haven't given many details about exactly what it is you're researching, I don't think it will be too hard to find like-minded people to assist you if you know where to look. One particular trail-blazer who has started an organisation somewhat outside the scientific establishment is Fritjof Capra ( http://www.fritjofcapra.net/ ). Depending on what you're doing, his Centre for Ecoliteracy ( http://www.ecoliteracy.org/ ) may be interested in working with you. -- Daniel Kasak IT Developer NUS Consulting Group Level 5, 77 Pacific Highway North Sydney, NSW, Australia 2060 T: (+61) 2 9922-7676 / F: (+61) 2 9922 7989 email: [EMAIL PROTECTED] website: http://www.nusconsulting.com.au --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
