Hi,

as an interim you could (in Windows)

ctrl-right click on the fileyou want to open
go to Open With
find Swriter
Tick the 'always use this program for this type of file' box

However, I would suggest you hold back until you se how good the
imported layout is.  Acrobat will get the layout of the PDF spot-on.  Any
importer might move things around a bit or mess up fonts/styles.  I'd prefer
to view in Acrobat and then decide if I want to edit it.
