Running OOo3 on XP Pro.
Before I installed the 3 beta, I had somehow managed to fix (make
permanent) the table toolbar. Now I'm back to the annoying jump of my
text every time I enter a table, and another jump when I enter a
non-table area of the document.
Somehow ... pls tell me "how". I'm not aware of that possibility :-)
You can do the following :
- dock a toolbar like Tools on the left side ; this toolbar is permanent.
- hide not every day used buttons in toolbar Tools so that it take as
small space as possible ;
- place the cursor inside a table : table toolbar shows up
- dock table toolbar on left side under Tools toolbar
- move the cursor outside the table : table toolbar disappears.
- move the cursor inside the table : table toolbar appears on the left
side without changing the size of the text window
- you can manage the same way with bullet and numbering toolbar.
The table toolbar is not permanent but now it is docked and when it
appears and disappears it does not change text window size.
I know this. But the OP seems to say that he could doc the table-toolbar
permanently. AFAIK, this isn't possible.

Cor
