Hi,
I downloaded your program openoffice And I like it alot but I was sending my
resume to someone that didnt have it and their computer told them they needed
to download it. They have microsoft office and that is suppose to be compatible
with openoffice. Do you know what the problem could be? Also is this going to
be a problem everytime I send something through email to someone that doesnt
have openoffice?
Try sending your resume as either a PDF (See the little PDF button on
the toolbar) or use the "Save As" command and select something that the
recipient can understand such as RTF, Microsoft Word 97 etc...
Personally, unless you want the recipient to be able to edit your
resume, I would choose the pdf format. It can be read by many
applications, is an ISO standard and is generally used for digital
preservation - i.e. it is very hard to edit the file. The Adobe Acrobat
Reader is almost ubiquitous.
