I opened this message because I thought it was about the much bigger problems this list has always had: going at such ridiculous, time-wasting extremes to "manage" authentic unsubscribed users... that they drive many potential volunteers away from support and greatly reduce the effectiveness of the archives. Rants aside, the real answer is that I don't think that via moderation you'd accomplish much, if anything, to solve this specific problem: what would prevent people without anything better to do than talk bad of OOo to subscribe with throwaway accounts and bypass moderation altogether?
