Using OOo 3.1
[Format - Page - Background] provides the means for putting color on a
page, but only within the margins. How can I color the entire page, outside
the margins as well?
Thanks in advance.
Rick
Hello Rick,
I did the following to make a pdf with uniform background: set margins to 0,
use indent to position the text away from the paper border.
I suppose you can also use a section or frame to put your text in and have
normal margins that way.
BTW this is more a subject for the users list, not discuss.

Thanks. That's what I did as a work-around, but I wondered if I was
missing some secret "trick". Just now I used an invisible frame. And
yes, I wanted this for a pdf mailing. I had been using Word, and the
color page option colors the entire page. Seems strange that OOo doesn't
do that.
I'm using gmane openoffice general. Maybe the User List is also on
gmane. I hadn't noticed it the last time I looked. I prefer the news
groups.
Thanks again, Rick
