Hi Twayne,

Thanks for taking trouble to post your annoyances.
Very brave as well ;-)

1. Desktop:
With OO.o, whenever I want the Desktop I have to start at My Documents, drill up, switch todrive C:, then drill down to docs & settings, uname, desktop.

Few remarks:
- Tools|Options|OpenOffice.org|General > Open/Save dialogs:
remove check > windows dialog with Desktop in the left pane
- when using the OOo dialog:
add shortcut to your desktop in the My Document folder
- when using the OOo dialog:
add path to desktop to the system var PathFavorites
and then the path shows in the drop down menu from the home
  button (top right)
(bit complicated to set, but works fine)

2. Save, Open dialogs and others:
They don't remember the last setting used. Once in awhile they do, but

Open does, nowadays.
Save does not. Is subject of discussion on ... probably ux-list (months ago). So does have attention, but the golden rule is not yet found ;-)

5 Table Boundaries:
Should be shown by default. I haven't met a single person yet to doesn't

They do. Unless you removed the check at Tools|Options|OOo Writer|Table > Default ...

think tables, labels etc. are borked because they see nothing on the page.

6. Copy/Paste Web Page content:
OO.o still does a pretty bad job of pasting into it from portions of copied data from web pages. Usually when I do that I'm copying tech

I don't have this. Maybe I paste less from the web. But when I paste, it is fine. Regularly I use Paste Special > Formatted or Unformatted.

I hope these few tips help a bit.
Maybe others have tips on the other items. Or have the same probs as you have ..

Kindest regards,
Cor
