Perhaps if you would share exactly what that process is for you, keystroke by keysroke, click by click. How are you selecting what you want to copy? etc etc.

I can't be any clearer than that except to come over to your place and show you.

You still haven't stated how you are SELECTING what you wish to copy; crtl+A, Click-drag, click-shift-click. That would be clearer.

Ohhh. In order for me to be clearer, so do you.
Okay. Click-drag, as you say, to block the field I wished to copy to OOo.

Hm. It's still checking for updates after ten minutes. Cancel that.
An error.
"Due to an unexpected error, OOo-dev crashed. All the files you were working on will now be saved. The next time OOo-dev is launched, your files will be recovered automatically." Fortunately there were no files to be saved. I am, however, trying to find the file in question. I had hoped the answer would have been an easy one so I never bothered to save the details.

Sorry to come in on this one.

I often have a problem copying and pasting from news sites (often Daily Telegraph or BBC) The way around is to paste special as the HTML formatting tries to force the news article into one page

Thanks

Rob
