it seems that this person keeps sending the same e-mails with dats in

Aplologies to all.

For the 2nd time in recent weeks, we have the same houseguests. Their
almost 9-year-old is (unfortunately for me) an actual genius (who graduated
from high school last summer and is having to wait to attend
college when he is 11 or 12).

He's also a skilled computer break-in artist who got past the security
on my fedora 12 box (selinux) and as a prank started re-sending my
old saved eamils. That is, the first time I think it was just a
prank while he was playing with my mailer. I balled him out, and I
think it was more on the order of pay-back this time. (Luckily all
the stuff he shouldn't see is encrypted with a VERY secure key - on
another machine that also requires a challeng after the pwd to log in.)

I wasn't here the first time and I think he sent several thousand
posts out. THIS time luckily, I got home just as he was starting,
and he won't be doing that again any time soon. Previously he simply
rebooted, brought the system up in single user mode, changed my
password, and then went multi-user. Now he'll need three passwords
to do that. Less convenient for me, but safer when he's around.

Apologies for the inconvenience. Luckily this time I have only ~ 200
pieces of email to track down ...

(note: temporarily I'm having to use a different machine - and mailer.
so the thread almost certainly will break here ... sorry.)

Thanks,
- wwa

Bill

Thanks for clearing the matter up.

May I suggest a clear out of these old e-mails from your machine and then there can be no recurrence of the problem

Thanks

Rob
