Thunderbird actually makes it easy to assign multiple outgoing servers. Additionally, and I think this is more of Harold's issue as both his account appear to be googlemail, TB supports multiple Identities. This allows you to select the appropriate "from" via a drop down when composing messages. (I have 5 SMTP servers and 10 identities across 7 e-mail accounts). Now if only TB had a template manager similar to that of The Bat! :-)
