Dear Adam:

Yes this is not only possible but a lot more.

In the page formatting area there are sub-panels for each of the heardes and footers. Added to that, each of these has separate spaces for left, center and right justified content.

Each of these 6 areas can then contain almost any text content imaginable, accommodating different fonts, Language settings, colours, formatting codes, fields, etc.

That gives you a huge set of choices, but you will need to take some real time up front to learn how to use all that stuff.

- And that is only for the small spreadsheets. when you need to manage 100 sheets in one file, and the depth of a sheet can reach 1800 lines, with formulae that run off the edit line, you will need to use one or more reporting summary sheets, with hyperlinks and more formulae to get your summary data into each of the summary sheets, which will likely need to be differently formatted to accommodate the diverse needs of multiple superiors and/or colleagues.

Eaxamples of this range from sales force tracking to inventory tracking with automated total vaue calculation (including compensatrion for multiple currencies, and weights and measures both English and metric) and more.

If your buisness does batch formulations based on recipes by weight (with volumetric ingredient conversion where needed) and has to normalise these batches when QC starts adding adjustment adds to the formula, yet in the end you need to have a specific batch size to accomodate process machinery, that also can be done (another of my bag of tricks).

With this, you can then calculate the total inventory demand for a client's order and pre-assign the inventory, getting warned if you need to purchase added ingredients prior to producing the number of batches required to fill the order.

Finally, when you have to produce hard copy or (preferred) .PDF reports, your header and footer cosmetics can make them look as pretty as you want.

Sorry if I am in the wrong place with this suggestion or if it has been made
before. I've only started using OO and today had the need to use multiple
sheets. What would be nice is to see the names of the sheets on each sheet
or better still on tabs like MS does it in Excel. Is this possible?
