If we could convince Oracle's bosses that releasing the source and donating the 
OO.o name would put money in Oracle's pocket, we'd be home free. In any event I 
suspect them of being "dogs in the manger" as the Aesop's Fable says.  I 
imagine it's just not going to happen.

I mostly lurk and learn from this list, although I sometimes submit an answer 
to a question if I think it would be helpful. Small contribution to the 
community to which like to feel I belong.  I also talk up Open Office (and 
Linux) in the very small market in which I work.  Open Office and Linux let me 
do with modest equipment things that Microsoft and Oracle charge more for than 
I can afford. How can I help LibreOffice going forward?
