Sorry everyone... I have another question - and it is again of the
variety, 'someone at PPIG mentioned this two and a half months ago, I
forgot about it the week afterwards but have now suddenly remembered it
again on a lazy Saturday afternoon'.

I'm not quite sure who mentioned this - I vaguely recollect that it was
discussed over coffee... Someone mentioned something about a paper that
examined subjective assessment of programmer knowledge, and programmer
performance (I have no idea what the tasks may be). I think the finding
was (whatever that paper might be!) that there appeared to be a close
correlation between personal ratings and programmer performance and 'true'
programmer performance. Any ideas? I am dying to know!!

Many thanks!
