Ppigers,

I am teaching an undergraduate OOP course in Java this semester, and
will be spending about 6 weeks working on graphical user interfaces.
This is rather new to me (I have been remarkably text-based), as it
will be to many of my students. Can any of you suggest one (or maybe
two) of your favorite, classic papers (or book chapters) that
provides a good overview of user interface design, perhaps with
guidelines, (admonitions, injunctions, advice, etc.)?

Thanks much,

Josh
