Thanks to the many folks who joined us to become a Special Interest Group (SIG) of the the San Diego Computer Society (www.sdcs.org), we now have a regular meeting room in what appears to be a great location!
In keeping with tradition, it will be the 3rd Tuesday of each month from 6:30 to 8:30 and it will be held at the new buildings of UCSD Extension in Mission Valley at 404 Camino Del Rio S., Suite 102 in room MV27. Our speaker this month will be our own Jon Gallagher who will fill us in on some of the interesting wireless projects he's been working on recently - including the joys of making WiFi work next to a 300W transmitter and an interesting mobile WiFi / camera project - and doubtless some others besides. We will also talk briefly about some of our recent and planned installs into affordable housing sites and, finally, some details on the low-cost Meraki mesh network gear that we've been doing so much with for the past couple of months (but couldn't talk about much under their beta NDA). It should be a fun geek night for all and the beginning of a renewed monthly event! Please join us.
