We got all excited about high gain antennas early on - and stopped using them after a few tries. The trouble with the higher gain antenna is that the wifi envelope gets very flat - think dinner plate instead of donut. The people 2 blocks away would love that, but the people downstairs next door would come knocking. That said, I think I still have a 15 dBi around that I'm happy to pass along assuming you can sort out the power levels. Personally, I'd leave it as is. We've found 8-9 dBi to be the sweet spot (though we still have a 4dBi on Pink Palace!). cheers, michael PS: The topic at this week's meeting is fascinating. Likely not as entertaining as Jon's talk 2 months ago, but the technology is equally interesting. They've promised us someone technical, not sales, so we should get to hear all about how they place multiple Bluetooth-based APs (I think) around a building and then attach embedded devices to important gear (think "Get me that defib cart stat!) and search for them on a webpage.
