FYI I seem to recall you also had an iBook, and the reason I bought the
unit was to repair my own iBook which started having some problems with
the motherboard/WiFi

the draw back with using a USB WiFi device aside from the USB cables
needed to use the "bear extender" is the greater unit draw of power, so
battery life isn't as long.
