Wanted to let everyone know about a 24-hour Hackathon event happening at Kent State at the end of the month (Jan 31 - Feb 1), which is open to any college student from any US University (not just Kent State). TinyCircuits is happy to be a sponsor for this event, and I'm actually going to be one of the judges for the competition part, and there are over $3500 in cash prizes for various categories. Hope some fellow SYN/HAK members are able to make the event.
Here's a brief overview from the website: "Wearable technology such as Google Glass, smart watches, fitness bands, and even light-up shoes are very exciting pieces of fashion and tech. This 24-hour hackathon is open to college students from any U.S. university and will have a focus on combining fashion and tech and creating cool products and concepts within 24 hours. Student teams will have the opportunity to compete for over $3,500 in various cash prize categories! Let's build something, Kent State!" http://www.innov8athon.com/ Hope to see some of you there! Thanks, Ken
