Help!

I am in possession of two, 5.16 gallon, stainless steel beer kegs and I
don't know what to do with them.

See three photos posted at this link = http://imgur.com/a/UF35Y

They were recovered by me from the dumpster at a rental apartment complex
after a tenant was evicted. He is now in prison, having been tried and
found guilty on a domestic abuse charge. It is unlikely that he will be
coming back for them, ever.

My attempt to return them to the local distributor for the value of the
original deposit ($60) was met with cold derision by the abrasive
receptionist at the distributor. She told me that I could bring them to
the warehouse and collect ten dollars. I told her I would not get out of
bed for a mere ten dollars, let alone drag two kegs onto a bus and then
roll them down the sidewalk to the warehouse.

All things considered, I would like to sell them both for at least the
deposit value, if not a little more. Similar kegs sell on eBay in the
range of $40 to $115, depending on condition. Since one of the kegs is
still full of beer and the other with just a little left in it (and I don't
have a beer tap), they can't be sold on eBay and shipped to a buyer at a
reasonable shipping cost. Five gallons of beer weighs about 42.5 pounds,
which puts the shipping cost for the full keg at the unreasonable level.

Perhaps, I can sell them to a local home-brew beer maker or a novice
moonshiner who wants to make a small still. There may be other uses for a
beer keg that I am unaware of too. Pickup can be arranged for most any day
of the week.

Anybody have any other ideas that will result in cash for me and the
movement of the kegs out of my storage unit?

If anybody at SH or a reader of this email list has a beer tap, I am very
willing to give away the remaining beer at no cost. If you pick up the
kegs, take them somewhere else, remove the beer (good excuse for a party!),
and return the kegs to me to sell, you get the beer for free. Of course,
you will have to leave one of your children or two tires off your car with
me to insure you return the kegs.

Hopefully, a reader will contact me and get the party going.

Again, remember, the beer is FREE.
