I find it Un-excellent that you bring this up at the meeting and then proceed to ignore the discussion to write this email. Is it really that important that it can't wait until after the meeting?
Besides you where there at the meeting, the meetings are for discussion/s, if you are going to come for the meeting then please participate in the meeting.
