I was actually thinking of implementing the NoTitle extension, which removes the page title from pages of choice. For example, see en.wikipedia.org Main Page. No page title there, but the URL is still clear that it is the main page.
If we do go the route of renaming Main Page, please ensure either via nginx redirects or MediaWiki redirects that Main Page still properly resolves.
