(wwwroot)/ablecommerce/ac5/order/
and open up Order.cfc
you should see a list of functions (or methods if you will). You should probably skip ahead in your book to the section on CFC's just so you know what you are looking at. The queries may be in that cfc... or maybe not.
It's not a table....this is referencing where on the ablecommerce.com site the web service (ws) is called. You will not be able to see code even if you cfdump the ws, just methods. This is were patience comes into play. I would research the lastest docs from AbleCommerce for a db diagram or reverse engineer your db through visio. Being a deadline day in the office, I shall revisit this later this afternoon.Preesh.----- Original Message -----From: Robert ReilSent: Friday, May 19, 2006 6:48 AMSubject: RE: [ACFUG Discuss] Reverse Engineer Code HELP!Preesh thanks for getting this far with this file.
.ablecommerce.ac5.order.Order
But what is this reference to? There is no "Order" table, there is however an "Orders" table"
Where would I get to the details of ".ablecommerce.ac5.order.Order"?
I would assume that that will work out to resolving to the "orders" table. But where would I find it.
The file I am looking at is: AbleCommerce CFMX5.5.... wwwroot/#ablecommerceinstalldirectory#/admin/orders/editorder.cfm
I can post the file if need be.
The real deal is that there is data being pulled under categories called:
Order Contents:
Payments:
Order Shipments:
Order Notes:
Order Files:
I see the following assumingly relevant tables in the DB.
Orderfiles
Orderitems
Ordernotes
Orders
Orderstatuses

I have taken it back to "com.ablecommerce.ac5.order.Order" since I'm not running ablecommerce current (old stuff), you will need to dump the object for more information.

Did the dump and found other variables with less variables.
Will be doing <cfdump> with those variables to identify these tables.
Thanks for all the help guys, you all are Johnny on the spot with the help. Thanks.

Shawn is quite right to point this out. Dumping functions and objects for debugging should be used on a development box, local development environment or someplace not in production. Secured information could be displayed that you do not want the wrong people to see.

I didn't realize this was going on a PROD site...

Do a <cfdump var="#tempNote#"> and take a look at what the object contains.

[ACFUG Discuss] Reverse Engineer Code HELP!
As some of you know I am new to CF.
I have a situation where I need to know what column and table data is being pulled from on a cfm file.
Tell me what you need to know in order to figure this out. All I see is:
<cfoutput>#tempNote.getNoteData()#</cfoutput>
But it does not make sence to me where this data is being generated.
What is "Note.NoteData"? There is no "Note" table.
There is a note field somewhere but in what table?
Guidance please?
